Part-Time Remote Teacher of the Visually Impaired in VA
Become a key part of our virtual educational program as a part-time TVI, providing essential support to Virginia students with visual impairments.
Responsibilities :
- Provide virtual instruction and support to students who are visually impaired in a school setting
- Develop and implement individualized educational plans and accommodations to meet students' needs
- Adapt curriculum materials and teaching methods to support students' learning goals
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and other professionals to ensure students' success
- Conduct virtual assessments and evaluations to monitor students' progress
- Provide training and support to students, teachers, and caregivers on strategies for supporting students with visual impairments
Requirements :
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education or Special Education with a focus on visual impairments
- Certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired
- Experience working with students who are visually impaired in a school setting
- Knowledge of assistive technology and resources for students with visual impairments
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Reliable internet connection and technology for virtual instruction
