Soliant Education is seeking a creative and dedicated Middle School Art Teacher for an hourly contract position in Chicago, IL.
As a Middle School Art Teacher, you'll have the exciting opportunity to inspire students' creativity, foster artistic skills, and cultivate a love for the visual arts.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement a comprehensive art curriculum that includes drawing, painting, sculpture, and other media.
- Teach fundamental art techniques and concepts while encouraging individual expression and creativity.
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel comfortable taking risks and exploring new ideas.
- Provide constructive feedback to students to help them develop their artistic abilities.
- Display student artwork throughout the school to showcase their talents and accomplishments.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate art into interdisciplinary projects and activities.
- Organize and supervise art-related extracurricular activities and events.
- Maintain a clean and organized art studio with necessary supplies and materials.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or related field.
- Valid Illinois teaching certification with an endorsement in Art Education.
- Previous experience teaching art at the middle school level preferred.
- Proficiency in various art techniques and media.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for art education and a commitment to fostering students' creativity.
