Kapolei Counseling Center is an approved National Health Service Corps (NHSC) location. The NHSC Loan Repayment Program (NHSC LRP) will provide our mental and behavioral health care clinicians with the opportunity to have their student loans repaid while earning a competitive salary.
This program supports clinicians dedicated to serving in urban, rural, or tribal communities with limited access to care.

About Us : Kapolei Counseling Center helps families on the Leeward side of O’ahu heal through life’s challenges and mental health needs by providing trained psychotherapists who personalize therapy sessions and host relationship workshops.
We have a one stop counseling center that offers a variety of specialties to fit our client’s mental health needs.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct couples therapy sessions and supportive individual sessions as needed to support the couple dynamic.
- Assess and address relationship issues, communication problems, assess unhealthy dynamics and teach through psychoeducation.
- Develop personalized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of the couple
- Provide guidance and support to clients seeking to improve their relationships
- Collaborate with other mental health professionals if the couple also goes to individual therapy.
- Utilized research-based methods to treat the couple.
- Consult routinely with the clinical supervision for feedback and progress.
Qualifications :
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Licensed PH. D, Psy. D, Psychologist, and other therapeutic doctorate degrees from an accredited college
- Must have a certification towards a modality that specializes with couple (i.e. Gottman Level 1 Certification)
Must have experience or show specialization in biblical aspects of marriage and working with couples. Pastoral and discipleship counseling counts toward experience.
Experience :
- For Licensed Master level, must have 2 years of experience.
- For Doctorate level, must have 2 years of experience
