Position Summary : As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and implementing cutting-edge solutions for microgrids, distributed generation systems, renewable energy, energy storage, and grid edge electrical systems.
You will be responsible for leading the design of electrical infrastructure systems, managing electrical projects, and developing client relationships.
Key Responsibilities : Perform electrical engineering design duties under the supervision of the Director of Electrical Engineering.
Design grid-connected power generation systems, including electrical single-line diagrams and grid interconnection applications.
Develop electrical equipment, materials, and installation specifications. Evaluate equipment proposals and review technical submittals.
Coordinate projects with other engineering disciplines. Conduct calculations and analysis reports (short circuit, relay & breaker coordination, arc flash, grounding, cable sizing).
Layout electrical equipment, route conduit, duct-bank, and cable systems. Support construction efforts by reviewing submittals, shop drawings, and reports;
oversee testing and commissioning. Respond to customer and contractor inquiries. Participate in site surveys and inspections.
Requirements : Active Professional Engineering (PE) license. Experience with high and medium voltage systems. Knowledge of local, state, and national code requirements.
Expertise in engineering grid interconnection of power generation systems (internal combustion engines, combustion turbines, PV solar, battery energy storage).
Proficiency in specifying grid-connecting switchgear and systems. Experience with electrical systems modeling software (ETAP, SKM, EasyPower, HOMER).
Ability to develop electrical load flow, short circuit, relay coordination, and arc flash studies. Experience managing and coordinating multidisciplinary projects.
Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit experience is a plus). Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to prepare technical reports and presentations.
Education & Experience : Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. 5-10 years of professional experience, particularly in power, distributive generation, or a related field.
Proven experience in executing multidisciplinary projects using AutoCAD or Revit. Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is required.
