Senior Property Claims Adjuster - FieldJoin Forbes' 2024 Best Employer for Diversity!

As a senior field claims adjuster on our Home & Property team, you'll manage the coverage and damage analysis of property claims.

Handling claims from start to finish, you'll support customer needs while ensuring swift resolution. You'll also use strong negotiation and customer service skills to interact with customers, insurance carriers and others.

This is a field position with access to apany car and frequent driving within your territory. This role also includes a laptop, cell phone and credit card for expenses.

When you are not working in the field, you will work from home.

Territory : This position will cover Madison, WI and surrounding areas from Beaver Dam to Beloit and Mount Horeb to Lake Mills, WI.

Candidates must live in or near the territory.

Schedule : Monday - Friday with flexibility to work nights and weekends based on business need

Duties & responsibilities

  • Inspect, photograph, measure, sketch, and assess damages to homes involved in losses such as partial fire, total fire, water damage, wind damage, flood damage, hail, and vandalism
  • Determine the extent of the property loss estimating the cost to repair, replace, orpensation
  • Identify additional exposures such as Personal Property / Contents, Additional Living Expense, Mold, Ordinance related to a property loss

Must-have qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher and a minimum of three years of related work experience, at least one year of which must includemercial, property, or specialty lines claims handling
  • Instead of the above, an associate degree and a minimum of five years related work experience, at least one year of which must includemercial, property, or specialty lines claims handling
  • Instead of a degree, a minimum of eight years related work experience, at least one year of which must includemercial, property, or specialty lines claims handling
  • Valid driver's license, auto insurance, andpliance with Progressive's driving standards and / or policies
  • $76,500 to $93,500 annually based on experience
  • Gainshare bonus up to 24% of your eligible earnings based onpany performance
  • $5,000 starting bonus
