Position Summary :
The HR Compliance Specialist supports the Reyes Holdings HR Compliance Center of Excellence (COE) in its efforts to ensure compliance with human-resources related legal requirements throughout the Reyes Holdings Family of Businesses.
The HR Compliance Specialist is responsible for performing day-to-day HR compliance activities, centered primarily on I-9, E-Verify, internal HR audit, and wage & hour compliance.
Responsibilities include evaluating, recommending, and implementing enhancements to existing compliance processes; developing new compliance processes;
developing and delivering compliance-related training, leveraging technology to maximize accuracy and efficiency; and reviewing process and records to ensure current and ongoing compliance.
Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to :
- Working with field HR and Business Unit analysts on I-9, E-Verify, and HR audit processes and issues
- Managing I-9 request tickets and resolving compliance-related issues. Partnering with the Employment Law Department to resolve certain issues as needed
- Effectively communicating and providing guidance for compliance-related needs; including developing training materials and facilitating training to promote understanding and compliance
- Supporting and leading the implementation of special HR projects and initiatives, including I-9 audit and technology platform integration efforts
- Partnering and consulting with subject matter experts, vendors, outside legal counsel, and with HR across the Reyes Holdings Family of Businesses to promote and maintain compliance programs across the enterprise
- Conducting regular audits and assessments, gathering compliance metrics and reports to identify areas of non-compliance on HR-related matters
- Planning and executing HR audits; analyzing results and communicating findings to HR leadership
- Staying informed about labor and employment trends and changes in HR compliance, and ensuring the organization is proactive in addressing potential issues
- Developing compliance-related file and document maintenance processes
- Other projects or duties as assigned
