The Production Lead will direct the shift activities and coordinate with employees and other departments to ensure that production targets are met each day efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities :
- Approve set-ups and monitor quality.
- Coordinate shift activities with other departments to accomplish all manufacturing objectives efficiently.
- Monitor, instruct, and discipline employees on proper, safe operating methods,
- Interpret and administer company policies and procedures.
- Operate the shift professionally by always upholding work ethic, fairness, and temperament.
- Incorporate plant floor organization and cleanliness among plant personnel.
- Provide direction, development, and leadership to production personnel to achieve company goals.
- Comply and enforce all safety and environmental regulations.
- Make recommendations for hiring, firing, advancement, promotion, or any other change in the status of employees.
- All other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications :
- 2+ years of proven experience as a Production Lead or in a relatable role.
- Flexographic printing press experience.
- Working knowledge of flexographic presses, dies, inks, substrates, coatings, plates, rewind, and other print production procedures is required.
- Proven analytical, communication, and mechanical skills.
- Strong organizational, planning, and leadership abilities.
- Strong computer skills, including preparing spreadsheets and using Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook) to analyze data and trends.
- Experience in using manufacturing production software (Radius is a plus)
- Previous experience / best practices implementing and using continuous improvement / lean tools such as Six Sigma, 5-S, Lean Manufacturing, Transactional Lean, etc.
to drive improvement.
10-hour shift, Sunday thru Wednesday, 8 : 45 p.m. to 7 : 15 a.m.
