The Information Technology Team supports various vendor / third-party developed applications, creates and maintains sustainable processes that help departments maximize the value of their applications via standardization and simplification.
This position will be hired as a Systems Specialist and will function as an Application Support Specialist. This individual must have an analytical mindset, be interested in working with a wide range of platforms and services, and have a solid foundation in Windows Systems, FIPS Compliance, and Cloud Platforms.
Familiarity with integrations such as API calls, XMI, and formatted data exchange is required.
Duties :
- Responsible for provisioning, deploying, administering, monitoring, maintaining, troubleshooting, upgrading, and patching of vendor applications (primarily Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems) and dependent applications / services in a hybrid cloud environment (AWS, Azure, GCP, and on-premise data center).
- Document complex processes, procedures, system configurations, and specifications. Exhibit strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills with the capability to acquire, retain, and leverage advanced technical competencies.
Able to coalesce design specifications independently and collaboratively, manage and develop stable, best practice, environment-specific enterprise-class solutions.
Possesses a comprehensive understanding of enterprise solutions, architecture, and lifecycle. Mentor other team engineers and departments.
Ability to multitask at high volume and detail. Ability to produce effective, timely results. Able to develop and implement proactive, automated solutions and processes.
Able to quickly prioritize and efficiently complete tasks of varied scope, scale, and technical requirements. Acts as a role model in demonstrating customer service, integrity, and ethical behavior.
Understand and adapt to different work styles, conflict resolution techniques, and office etiquette and demonstrate the ability to interact with employees and stakeholders in a positive, productive, and technically appropriate manner.
Self-motivated and stays abreast of applicable new technologies and technical methodologies.
Provides support to end users on a variety of application issues. Identifies, researches, and resolves application issues.
Responds to telephone calls, emails, and personnel requests for application support. Tracks and monitors problems to ensure timely resolutions.
- Planning, writing, and maintenance of projects and user support documentation efforts, including online help. Responsible for translating business applications into user documentation.
- Preparation and maintenance of specified documentation (guides, procedure manuals, tutorials, handbooks, and any other user documentation).
- Attends staff meetings and in-service trainings as assigned.
- Maintains familiarity with BHS policies and procedures and other applicable regulations. Performs job duties accordingly.
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree with four (4) years related experience OR Associate degree with six (6) years related experience OR High School or equivalent with either (8) years related experience.
- Experience with installation, configuration, deployment, and updates of applications such as Netsmart, eClinicworks, Windows SQL, etc., preferred.
- Experience in Administration and Support / Maintenance of applications in public cloud including hosted environments.
- Understanding of Healthcare Technology industry standards and best practices around security, compliance, performance, and availability.
- Ability to use language and terms appropriate for the target audience. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
Should enjoy troubleshooting and problem solving and possess a passion for computer technology.
- Identify and research areas for technical improvements to application integrations and suggest potential changes or enhancements.
- Provide technical training, as needed, including documentation to be used for ongoing reference.
- Support accurate data extraction from existing business applications and coordinate with other partners as needed to troubleshoot data feeds.
- Must have and maintain a valid California driver’s license. Must have liability insurance when driving a personal vehicle on BHS business.
