We are currently seeking a dedicated and qualified Special Education Teacher with a Moderate-Severe Credential to join our team in Redding, CA.
As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a critical role in providing specialized instruction and support to students with moderate to severe disabilities.
This is a direct hire position, and we are excited to welcome a passionate and experienced teacher to our school community.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with moderate to severe disabilities.
- Provide direct instruction and support to students in a specialized classroom setting.
- Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and accommodations to meet the unique learning needs of students.
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction as needed.
- Collaborate with other special education staff, general education teachers, and support staff to ensure students' needs are met in inclusive settings.
- Utilize assistive technology and specialized resources to enhance student learning.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress, attendance, and IEP documentation.
- Communicate regularly with parents / guardians to share student progress and address concerns.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in special education.
Requirements :
- Valid California teaching credential with a Moderate-Severe specialization.
- Experience working with students with moderate to severe disabilities.
- Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and accommodations / modifications.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Additional Details : This is a direct hire position starting on August 16, 2023.
