Job Description : Electrical Engineering Lab Technician
Quala is seeking an Electrical Engineering Lab Technician to join our service team. This is an opportunity to work within a Redmond, WA based organization that is a leader in the consumer electronics and software development industry.
You will be working in a lab setting as part of an Electrical Engineering rework team. This is a fast-paced, hands-on, on-site role.
Duties and responsibilities include :
- PCB rework using micro soldering and small package BGA removal / installation.
- Disassemble and assemble Dev Kits and Box Build devices. Use board files to plan and execute rework plans including adding and removing components, wire outs, placing and moving current and differential probes, and other modifications.
Requirements :
- 1+ year relevant EE experience
- Solid EE fundamental knowledge.
- Familiar with analog and digital circuit design
- Able to read schematic and layout.
- PCB design experience, including floor planning, stack up generation, partitioning.
- Understanding of high-speed interfaces such as PCIe, LPDDR3, USB3.0, MIPI CSI-2 etc.
- Familiarity with Cadence or CAD and Allegro ECAD tool.
- Prototype and debug skills.
- Experience using high speed bench analysis tools and equipment.
- Understanding of simulation process flow, tools and models.
- Experience creating a connector pinout that is optimized for routing, minimize EMC risk, GND return / impedance paths.
- Experience of derating and FMEA analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field preferred
