Overview :
Traveling Dental Assistant - Orthodontics
Summary : The Traveling Dental Assistant supports dental / orthodontics care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials;
passing instruments and materials; performing procedures in compliance with the Dental Practice Act. This position will mainly focus on taking x-rays / photos and maintaining orthodontic patient records.
Pay Range : $16.00-$20.43 / hr (based on experience)
This is a traveling position and applicants must be willing to go to our San Bernardino, Moreno Valley, Victorville, Glendora and San Diego offices.

Responsibilities :
Essential Duties and Responsibilities : include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assists the doctor in orthodontic procedures
Takes x-rays
Takes IO's
Take Orthodontic records and photo's
Assist in Prophylaxis cleaning of teeth
Instructs patients on oral hygiene
Charts cavities and teeth with doctor
Sterilizes instruments
Sets up / breakdown and prepares rooms for treatment / hygiene
Charting of patient's treatment and treatment plan with doctor
Qualifications :
Education and / or Experience :
Certification from a dental college OR three to six months related experience and / or training OR equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred
Required Certificates or Licences :
X-Ray certification
BLS certification
8-hour Infection Control certification
2-hour Dental Practice Act certification
