- Hiring Manager is looking to hire a DomainArchitect for this requisition who are skilled in ITtechnologies.
- These DomainArchitect should have handson experience acting as Architects intheir current 45 years of professional experience with backgroundof being technological experts in Cloud AWS services InfosecMicroservices APIs Data and other integration patternsetc.
- Manager is alsolooking for candidates who are skilled in enterprise applicationportfolio management technology portfolio management.
Havingexperience with any EA framework such as TOGAF Zachman etc. as wellas with any EAM tools such as LeanIX Ardoc ArchiMateetc.
They should have greatcommunication solution providing and articulation skills who cannot only provide technical solutions in the domain but can alsohave it communicated to highlevel leadership technical delivery aswell as nontechnical teams.
Duration : 6 months of contract topermanent.
Location : PlanoTX; Should be local to Plano TX and willing to work onsite at least3 days a week.
Interview process
- 45minute MS TEAMs videointerview with the Hiring Manager and team.
- Technical 4560 minute preferably inperson or MSTEAMs video interview with the Hiring Manager andteam.
DomainArchitect
The Domain ArchitectureOwner is responsible and accountable for all Architecture anddesign decisions within a Domain. They ensure proposed technologysolutions are designed to meet or exceed functional requirementsnonfunctional requirements adhere to the Architecture Standards andaligns with the longerterm digital transformationstrategy.
The candidate would possess strong leadership excellentoral and written communication skills and a proven ability topresent and discuss technical functional and managerial informationclearly and concisely to various stakeholders from BusinessExecutives to Developers.
Expertise in architecting and developingsecure scalable reliable faulttolerant distributedapplications.
The Domain Architecture Owners partner with their assignedDomains to drive key technology decisions. They create and maintainbusiness architecture artifacts and domain technologyroadmaps.
What youll be doing :
- Be part of the Domainleadership team to create technology strategy and influencetechnology direction.
- Responsible and accountable for all architecturefunctions within the domain.
- Collaborate with other stakeholders andarchitects to drive consensus.
- Responsible for creating and maintainingBusiness Capability map for the domain.
- Creates and maintains Technology Strategycurrent and target State architectures for thedomain.
- Participates in allCrossdomain architecture routines.
- Support solution architecture to createapplication high level and lowlevel designs and document thenecessary artifacts.
- Otheractivities as assigned by the Domain ArchitectureLeader.
Job Accountabilities

o Engage with the domain as partof the Domain Leadership Team.
o Drive consensus amongthe leadership on Technology Strategy.
o Validatetechnology feasibility of business case and conceptproposals.
Engagement on assignedDomain OKRs and other miscellaneous projects
o Work withdomain stakeholders to understand business requirements.
o Ensure all designs are approved per architecture guidelines andstandards.
Supporting SolutionArchitecture
o Partner with Solution Architects tocreate High level design.
o Validate low level designspresented by Solution architects.
o Provide guidance andthought leadership to drive fit for purpose solutions.
oMentor Solution Architects
Creating andmaintaining Business capabilities and target state technologyarchitecture
o Create business capability maps byinterviewing various business stakeholders.
o Performcapability assessments on new projects and initiatives.
o Create various relevant capability heatmaps to help createtechnology roadmaps.
o Create value streams for thedomain.
Documenting Key decisionsartifacts or other items as required
o Capture decisionsrisks impediments and open items on any design items beingdiscussed.
o Capture proper evidence ofdecisions.
o Ensure consensus of all relevantstakeholders is captured.
ArchitectureGovernance
o Provide oversight on all high level andlowlevel designs presented in Domain Architecture OfficeHours.
o Approve designs that meet gatingcriteria.
o Make decisions using approved processes suchas buyvsbuild.
o Represent the domain in allarchitectural governance routines.
Cross Domaincollaboration
o Work with other SME / Domain Architects todrive design consensus.
o Collaborate with other domainarchitects and domain architecture leader to identify cross domainimpact on design.
o Provide education on any reusabledesign aspects that can be used across domains.
