Major / Essential Functions
- Provides patient services under direct supervision and responsibility of Physician and / or Medical Director.
- Involvement in patient evaluations, both follow up and new patient clinic visits, may include inpatient rounds.
- Elicits detailed patient histories.
- Screen New Patient intake packets for needed information : MD referral details and office notes, op notesPathology reports, slide requests and procedure radiology reports and arrange for filmsMammogram reports, colonoscopy reports, biopsy results, Pap / HPV reports
- Examines patient, performs comprehensive physical examination and compiles patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination.
- Administers or orders diagnostic tests and interprets test results for deviations from normal in collaboration with Physician.
- Performs therapeutic procedures and post follow up care such as injections, immunizations, wound care, staple removal and chemotherapy orders.
- Develops and implements patient management plans, records progress notes and assist in provision of continuity of care.
- Answer patient phone calls, provide symptom management during operating hours.
- Assist with routine medication refills, new Rx in consultation with attending Physician.
- Provide notification of test results to patients (Pap / HPV, bone density scans, routine x-rays).
- Assist with chemotherapy education and counseling.
- Instructs and counsels patients regarding compliance with prescribed regimens.
- Optional, provides surgical assistance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Current DEA
- Experience in Oncology, Surgery or Women's Health
- Current NPI and / or PTAN number
Pay Statement
Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as the institutional pay plan.
