Controller- Hospital

We are searching for a motivated Controller- Hospital in an acute care healthcare facility in historic Charleston, South Carolina!

Charleston, South Carolina, founded in 1670, is renowned for its well-preserved architecture and rich history, particularly as a key port during the American Revolutionary War and Civil War.

Visitors are drawn to attractions like the historic district with cobblestone streets, the iconic Rainbow Row, and Fort Sumter National Monument, where the first shots of the Civil War were fired.

The city also boasts beautiful waterfront parks, vibrant culinary scenes, and numerous museums that celebrate its cultural heritage.

The Controller is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting and providing leadership and direction. The Controller will have direct management responsibilities including planning, organizing, budgeting, controlling and directing, and cost / benefit analysis.

Other responsibilities include general finance functions (including monthly financial reporting and all associated analysis and providing all needed financial analysis to the management team to aid their decision making.

What qualifications will you need :

• CPA Preferred.
• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Business with an emphasis in accounting required.
• Masters degree in Business, advanced membership and certification in HFMA or CPA certification is desirable, but not required.

Experience may substitute for post-graduate education.

• 5+ years of Financial Accounting Experience
• 4+ Years of Progressive Leadership Experience within the healthcare industry
• HCA experience strongly preferred
• Highly desirable for the Controller to be willing to relocate within the HCA system
• Performs in accordance with delineated job responsibilities and satisfactorily completes a yearly evaluation

Salary Base : $120K- $130K
