Our client, a prominent law firm in Coral Gables, FL, is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to oversee all human resources functions for the firm.
This role will report directly to the CEO and will be responsible for managing HR policies, employee relations, recruitment, performance management, and compliance with employment laws.
The ideal candidate will be well-versed in HR best practices and capable of fostering a positive work environment while supporting the strategic goals of the firm.
Key Responsibilities :
- Recruitment & Onboarding : Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from posting job openings to interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new employees.
- Employee Relations : Serve as the point of contact for employee inquiries, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts to maintain a positive workplace culture.
- HR Policies & Compliance : Develop, implement, and update HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including Florida-specific regulations.
- Performance Management : Oversee employee performance reviews and provide guidance on career development, promotions, and any disciplinary actions.
- Training & Development : Design and implement employee training programs to support professional growth and ensure staff compliance with legal standards and firm expectations.
- Compensation & Benefits : Manage employee benefits programs and assist in salary benchmarking and compensation reviews.
- HR Reporting & Metrics : Track and report on HR metrics, including turnover, headcount, and other relevant data to help inform management decisions.
- Legal Compliance : Ensure the firm’s HR practices comply with all applicable labor laws, including wage and hour regulations, employee classification, and workplace safety standards.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in HR, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment.
- In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws (Florida-specific experience preferred).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion.
- Experience with HR software and systems.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with firm leadership.
