Position Summary
Coordinates the Continuing Medical Education activities in accordance with the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) Accreditation Requirements and remain an accredited provider of Continuing Medical Education as outlined by the ACCME;
providing library services to meet informational and educational needs of the health system and Medical Staff. In addition, provides support to the Vice President of Medical Affairs and Medical Staff Services.
Responsibilities
- Coordination and support of the CME program, including coordination of presentations; ensuring compliance with CME accreditation standards;
- serving as the primary representative in accreditation surveys, including coordination with surveyors and committee members, and preparation of survey documents;
CME meetings; journal subscription renewals and journal request using Docline, tracking practitioner attendance at all CME functions and distributing annually.
- Provide assistance to multiple leaders for various tasks
- Maintain CME policies and procedures including ISO documentation.
- Complete online applications maintaining AAFP accreditation.
- Recording secretary for committee meetings as assigned, including meeting notices, agenda coordination and preparation, taking and transcribing minutes.
- Department support to include answering phones, filing, running reports, and participation in special events.
Requirements
- Associates degree preferred with three to five years of hospital related or continuing medical education experience.
- Work independently with the ability to plan and prioritize and accomplish desired results with minimum supervision.
- Computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office and software applications.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to exercise discretion, judgment and initiative and maintain confidentiality for sensitive information.
