POSITION SUMMARY : The Assistant Shift Manager is responsible for coordinating with the Shift Manager to ensure the smooth operation of table games for their designated shift.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES :

• Maintain a constant general awareness of the casino pit.
• Resolve guest disputes in a fair manner.
• Ensure compliance of rules and policies for Table Games employees
• Ensure the pit is appropriately staffed and the table limits are appropriately managed.
• Ensure pit paperwork and reports are correctly and accurately filled out.
• Create an environment that protects the casino’s assets yet allows the players to enjoy themselves.
• Actively monitor large plays and buy-ins.
• Actively assist in the smooth, proper functioning of the pit
• Communicate new changes, policies, and promotions to the Table Games employees.
• Other related duties as necessary

Requirements

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE :

Required :

• Able to compute table games payouts and perform moderately complex math skills.
• Full Knowledge of Title 31
• Full Knowledge of Blackjack, Craps, and Roulette including proper procedure and game protection
• 3 Years table games experience including 1 year of Table Games supervisory experience.
• Working Knowledge of MS Office (Word / Excel / Outlook)
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English, in both written and oral forms.

Preferred :

• 5+ years of tables games experience including 2+ years of Table Games supervisory experience.
• Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS :

• Gaming Card
• Alcohol Awareness Card

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES :

Supervise all Floor Supervisors / Boxmen and Dealers on their designated shift.
