Position Summary :
We’re seeking a talented, proactive, collaborative, and hard-working agency business development leader who gets energy by achieving aggressive growth goals and isn’t afraid to challenge themselves.
The ideal candidate will have experience within the marketing, CRM, or / and CX agency environment and thrive on building authentic relationships that turn into new business opportunities.
This individual will play a leading role in driving the continued growth of our agency, building a robust prospect pipeline and actively engaging and nurturing prospects.
With a relationship-focused and solution-oriented selling approach, this director will deliver the Bold Orange service difference throughout the sales process.
Position Duties and Responsibilities :
Strategic Prospecting & Pipeline Development
- Identify, prioritize, and engage CX, marketing, and digital decision-makers within enterprise brands across Bold Orange’s target verticals.
- Build and manage a robust sales pipeline, focusing on enterprise clients in key industries.
- Conduct market research to identify opportunities, analyze trends, and understand the competitive landscape within the target industries.
- Drive top-of-funnel activities, including outbound prospecting, networking, and relationship-building.
- Represent Bold Orange at industry conferences, webinars, and events to expand the agency’s presence and network within target industries.
Relationship Selling & Prospect Engagement
- Leverage Bold Orange’s relationship-focused selling model to cultivate strong, trust-based relationships with potential clients.
- Lead strategic conversations and pitch proposals that demonstrate a deep understanding of client needs in CX, digital marketing, and CRM.
- Serve as a thought leader and consultative partner to prospects, positioning Bold Orange’s services as solutions to their specific business challenges.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including strategy, client services, and digital marketing, to ensure alignment with client goals and deliver relevant solutions.
New Business Acquisition
- Lead the entire business development cycle, from initial outreach through to Statement of Work development and closing.
- Develop and present customized proposals, RFP responses, and client presentations that align with the client’s business goals and challenges.
- Partner with internal teams to develop creative, data-driven strategies for potential clients that showcase the agency’s digital marketing and customer experience expertise.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Client Service, Strategy, and Creative teams to ensure smooth onboarding of new clients and seamless transition from business development to program execution.
- Collaborate with marketing to create thought leadership content, case studies, and promotional materials that support business development efforts.
- Stay informed on industry trends, innovations, and client-specific challenges to enhance business development efforts.
Required Qualifications and Experience :
- Bachelor's degree and / or equivalent experience required.
- 8+ years of business development, sales, or related experience, preferably within a digital marketing, customer experience (CX), CRM agency, or consulting environment.
- Previous experience in client delivery (client services or strategy roles) within a marketing or digital agency is strongly preferred.
- Proven track record of selling into enterprise-level organizations.
- Deep understanding of digital marketing, CRM, customer experience, and the agency landscape.
- Expertise in relationship-based selling with a focus on long-term, consultative partnerships.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to speak fluently about marketing, digital transformation, and customer experience challenges faced by enterprise clients.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate Bold Orange’s experience and expertise in a compelling and tailored way.
- High degree of professionalism, with an ability to influence and engage executive decision-makers.
