The Lead Product Owner, as part of the Business Solutions Team, acts as the foremost IT subject-matter-expert for the product(s) supported, understanding the complete technical stack, including platform configuration, end-to-end integration, business rules, underlying databases, and software releases.
The Lead Product Owner will be responsible for leading and driving the product strategy, which includes envisioning, building, executing, and maintaining the product roadmap.
The Lead Product owner will create and establish the transformation portfolio’s overall goals, and function as the application technical lead in strategic projects as needed across all products in the portfolio.

What You'll Be Doing
- Serve as the product visionary, focusing on where the platform needs to be in the long term by understanding who the users of the product are, what the target market is, and defining value that achieves business needs.
- Lead technical feasibility assessments, conduct research, and provide use cases for roadmap initiatives to drive business value.
- Responsible for application architecture and configuration to optimize performance, simplify data models, and streamline business processes.
- Function as the technical subject matter expert for all applications in the corresponding business vertical(s).
- Oversee the entire product development process, including estimation of product costs, coordination between senior management and development teams, creation of production schedules, and setting up a product backlog with prioritization of in-demand features.
- Define and plan software release schedule(s) to maintain technical currency and limit the accumulation of technical debt and rot.
- Ensure platform adherence to CCA security standards, including timely application of security patches and working with the Office of the Chief Information Security Officer to apply and execute the necessary governance and processes.
- Lead all platform configuration to ensure it meets business needs, aligns to IT standards, and supports the necessary end-to-end integration other platforms and vendor partners.
- Review and approve all engineering estimates supporting IT project delivery for the platform(s).
- Advise and approve the integration designs provided by solution architecture.
- Manage SaaS vendor(s) to ensure product quality, timely delivery, and service level agreement adherence.
- Provide IT estimates for product, vendor, and testing related to all IT delivery for the platform to ensure alignment to technical scope and business needs.
- Ensure vendor solutions and CCA-developed applications maintain CMS compliance.
- Mentor product owners and senior product owners on the Business Solutions team across the business vertical.
- Responsible for the proper functioning of the platform’s end-to-end technology stack.
- Monitor the market and developing competitive analyses to determine how the product can yield the most business value and find the best return on investment.
- Facilitate the sharing of knowledge across larger teams to empower them and encourage independent decision-making.
- Align stakeholders around the vision for the product.
- Optimize User Experience, leveraging in-depth research of what customers generally demand from a similar product, and how accessible specific product features are to a wide range of users.
- Implement backlog prioritization, creating a list of all the in-demand features from the product that weighs value, effort, cost, and timeline to determine which features are necessary to push into production first.
- Create and maintain an understanding of data flow, personas, and key business processes across all products in the transformation portfolio : ability to demo the E2E business process within the productunderstanding of solution architectureunderstanding of external integrations
