Overview

The Richardson School is a year-round school option for local districts to access for children with special needs. These students are typically diagnosed with developmental or neurological disabilities and emotional, behavioral or mental health disorders.

We are hiring at The Richardson School, a MyPath Company. As the name states we are part of the path of those that enter this school.

As an instructional aide you are responsible for caring for the students directly. For this role, relationship building is essential as the students will participate in camp, respite and other programs.

As the instructional aide you are asked to meet the students’ needs in education, treatment, behavioral and hygiene.

As an Instructional Aid having empathy and understanding of the emotional and developmental disabilities of the people you serve is essential.

The Richardson School will provide training to use proper interventions and approaches while helping students with their daily needs.

As an Instructional Aide, you will :

• Help students with personal cares
• Be involved in behavior / crisis intervention
• Administer medication
• Incident report-writing
• Facilitate learning activities for students
• Accompany students and camp attendees on outings / field trips

WAGES & BENEFITS

Full time, 1st shift-8am-4pm Payrate : $20 / hr Student Loan Pay down AND Tuition Reimbursement program.Year-round school and camp during the summer!Payment advances- Access funds from upcoming checks to use for expenses or Uber rides!Additional benefits included for full time owners.

REQUIRES :

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 2 professional references
• Commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment
• Good judgement, ability to make quick decisions, ability to problem solve and reliable.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain self-composure in high stress times
• One year of experience working with special needs students is valued and encouraged
