Epic Manager - Revenue Cycle
The Epic Manager will work closely with operations, leadership team, peers from other applications, technical teams, and hospital staff to drive internal and external solutions.
Responsible for the build, implementation, maintenance, and support of Epic revenue cycle applications support team and modules, with overall responsibility for the direction, scope, cost, schedule, quality, and success of the projects.
Will coordinate all project activities : software and hardware implementation training, optimization, business and IS related task, internal communications, process improvement, and develop a plan for sustaining support.
Ensures that the software builds meets organizations goals. Manager must have a passion for change and identifying better ways to do things.
S / he must be an effective communicator and independent worker who will be an industry leader in changing how healthcare technology is configured, delivered, and supported.
Requirements :
- Requires Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or related sciences.
- Requires experience with Epic, specifically revenue cycle applications. Epic certification preferred.
- Requires at least + years of experience with years in healthcare management, the majority of which must be specialized in Information Systems, project management, and / or management.
- Clinical and / or healthcare IT background is preferred.
Responsibilities :
- Manages application support resources for assigned projects to achieve desired goals and personally works with hospital users to define Epic training needs.
- Monitors project status to insure timely completion. Develops and / or manages a work plan for completion of each project assigned.
Meets with users regularly for feedback throughout project development and implementation.
- Meets with users and appropriate IS personnel to determine scope of work for solving business / hospital problems with hospital applications software.
- Identifies features and systems to meet the needs of the Hospital. Prepares a detailed workflow and timeline for needed solutions.
Facilitates meetings and product demonstrations. Evaluates new or existing feature to meet the needs of the Hospital.
