We are currently seeking a talented individual to join our team at School Name in Hamlet, NC, for the upcoming school year.
Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with occupational therapists, teachers, and other school staff to develop and implement individualized therapy plans for students.
- Provide direct therapy services to students as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Monitor and track student progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and team members regarding student progress and therapy goals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions and student progress reports.
Requirements :
- Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) issued by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
- State licensure or eligibility for licensure as a COTA in North Carolina.
- Experience working with school-aged children preferred but not required; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
