Your Opportunity
Stantec is seeking an individual to provide intermediate level safety and industrial hygiene consulting services for a variety of clients (including industrial / manufacturing companies) within our on our team.
This position will be based out of the Plymouth Minnesota office and will support and coordinate the health and safety and industrial hygiene projects for our clients nation-wide.
This role will report directly to the U.S. team lead of Industrial Hygiene Consulting Services.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Provide health and safety and industrial hygiene consulting services for a variety of projects and clients.
- Assisting and supporting industrial hygiene staff and projects internationally.
- Completing field work as required, including IH assessments and indoor air quality assessments
- Collect and analyze field data and prepare industrial hygiene monitoring reports.
- Support field studies (e.g. air and noise monitoring, etc.) at various locations.
- Maintain field instruments and records.
- Assist in the development of health and safety related programs and procedures, training modules
- Conduct OH&S compliance auditing
- Support employees to be compliant with Stantec's occupational, health, and safety systems including the safety program manual and safe work practices, as well as local legislation.
- Assist with project pre-job planning and hazard assessments.
- Conduct EHS field assessments, planned job observations, and worksite inspections.
- Promote occupational, health, and safety within the company with a goal of continuous improvement of safety culture both internally and with our clients.
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
- Strong technical and communication skills, both written and verbal, along with excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities, coupled with an ability to work in a team atmosphere.
- Developing leadership skills and the capability to assess priorities and work independently.
- Experience with federal, state and local regulations affecting industrial and manufacturing facilities.
- Experience working with field sampling equipment, including associated software.
- Computer proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of software.
- Certified Industrial Hygienist or working towards certification by the Board of Safety Professionals or the American Board of Industrial Hygiene (in comprehensive practice)
- Satisfactory driving record and valid drivers' license.
Education and Experience
- A degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant field work experience in an Industrial Hygiene or occupational, health, and safety role.
Travel may be required up to 25% of the time, mainly across the continental US, with potential for overnight stays up to 1 to 3 weeks.

Salary Range(s) :
$35.38 - $51.30 Min / Max Pay Range for postings located in CO and HI
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
