Information Governance/Privacy Director

Company Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis The Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis's Data Privacy Office is seeking an Information Governance / Privacy Director to support the program’s strategic priorities.

This role is visible across the Federal Reserve System and will require you to bring your collaborative and results oriented communication style.

You will work closely with the VP of Privacy and Records and Information management to ensure that the system privacy program meets the policy requirements of the Federal Reserve System.

Candidates with a strong foundation in Project Management skills in the area of Risk and Compliance with knowledge of Privacy requirements are encouraged to apply.

Onsite work is an essential function of this position, and you are expected to be in the office (3) days per week for meetings and team collaboration.

Application submission date : by November 20, 2024. As the Information Governance / Privacy Director you will direct and coordinate operations for the local implementation and management of the System Privacy Program;

communicate and collaborate across The Federal Reserve System. In addition, you will serve as a delegate for the System Privacy Officer (SPO), manage the local response to privacy incidents.

You will bring relevant expertise in program management to support the overall team by :

• Supervising and / or performing Privacy Assessments for business lines in the Minneapolis District.
• Maintain a high level of knowledge of the operational, technical and policy issues relating to the industry.
• Support the SPO in meetings and take responsibility for completion of action items, ensure agendas are set, minutes are taken, cascades agreed, and actions are tracked to confirm objectives.
• Proactively identify opportunities to add value to SPO and the FRS, by interpreting, simplifying, and prioritizing relevant insights to drive decision making.
• Work cross functionally on one or many strategic initiatives and assist in establishing project reporting standards, templates, and reporting processes and policies.
• Build consensus in work-group settings and team discussions among privacy stakeholders across the Federal Reserve System (FRS).

Influence others to achieve desired outcomes. Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree AND ten (10) years of experience in compliance, operations, or business risk in the financial services industry OR
• Master’s degree AND eight (8) years of experience in compliance, operations, or business risk in the financial services industry.
• Experience in leading and managing large scale complex projects from strategy to implementation and measurement of success.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and report issues, risks, and opportunities, work with subject matter experts to implement effective mitigations / solutions to drive project success and organizational improvement.
• Experience must include supervisory experience, preferably in the regulatory and compliance services practice of the big 4 consulting firms.

Experience in identifying and managing risks related to processing data.

• Exceptional ability to implement and evangelize use of project management structures (e.g., project plans, weekly status reports and meetings, prioritized issues resolution log, risk log including mitigation measures, transition plans, etc.)
• Demonstrated track record in sound judgment, strong attention to detail, and persistence in following issues to conclusion.
• Experience with Office 365 required (Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint), experience with risk management platforms such as Onetrust is preferred.
