Title : Payroll Administrator

Duration : Contract-to-hire

Location : Tustin, CA (hybrid)

Summary : Compile, analyze and process all components required for payroll. Apply analytical thought to payroll situations and scenarios.

Provide support and helps troubleshoot payroll questions to market management and human resources. Compile and record employee time and payroll data, including commissions, incentives, and time & attendance data.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Additional responsibilities may be assigned.

  • Review time sheets, work charts, wage computation, and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies.
  • Analysis of and improvement to current pay practice.
  • Verify and balance files, pay adjustments, and post information onto designated records.
  • Training new team members.
  • Process and issue employee paychecks and statements of earnings and deductions.
  • Support Management and Payroll with special functions / projects as needed.
  • Liaison with Human Resources, Operations, and representatives of Collective Bargaining Units.

Requirements :

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred; three or more years payroll experience in a multi-state environment;

or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Proven experience as a Payroll Administrator, preferably with hands-on experience in SAP SuccessFactors.
  • Experience with multi-entity environments.
  • Union Experience is an added plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll processes, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and other relevant software.
