Salary : $17.57-$18.50 hourly
The role of Patient Access Representative is to create a positive and efficient client / patient experience through excellent customer service.
This position also maintains appointment scheduling and administrative documentation in alignment with organizational standards.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Greet patients / clients and provide information as needed
- Schedule patient appointments for primary care
- Answer phone calls and respond to emails / faxes as appropriate and needed
- Ensure all administrative paperwork for processed through primary care is complete and accurate, including ROIs, intake paperwork, applications for financial assistance, etc.
- Verify insurance eligibility and restrictions, including referrals, prior authorizations, and financial assessment
Minimum Qualifications :
- Experience working in a medical front desk, customer service, or hospitality role
- Ability to work in fast-paced, stressful / noisy environment
- Excellent attendance history
- Ability to work and communicate with a widely diverse range of clients / patients and coworkers
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications :
- Previous experience working in a FQHC and / or with underserved populations
- Bilingual Spanish / English
- Experience with Electronic Heath Record (EHR)
