POSITION : RCM Trainer
JOB SUMMARY : EyeCare Partners is seeking an experienced Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Trainer to enhance and deliver comprehensive training programs that support the entire revenue cycle process, from patient scheduling and registration to coding, billing, and collections.
The RCM Trainer will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all employees understand their role in the practice's revenue cycle.
This role will involve both hands-on training and web-based learning programs, with a focus on improving workflow efficiency, compliance, and overall financial performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Deliver Engaging Training Programs : Provide interactive and engaging training programs on EMR / PM Systems, clinic policies, and procedures, ensuring new employees are equipped for success.
- Ongoing Education : Offer continuous hands-on training at clinic locations to maintain proficiency in RCM processes.
- Collaborative Onboarding : Partner with Revenue Cycle Resources to refine onboarding processes and support staff performance with real-world, impactful training across all RCM functions.
- Comprehensive Training : Design and deliver tailored training programs for patient access, clinical, and billing staff;
covering registration, check-in, scheduling, coding, and billing, to ensure efficient and compliant processes across all RCM functions.
- Performance Monitoring & Feedback : Collaborate with Clinic Directors to monitor staff performance, provide additional training when needed, and refine training programs based on feedback and reporting metrics.
- Develop Learning Pathways : Create structured learning pathways for RCM functions, ensuring both new hires and seasoned staff receive the training necessary for ongoing success and adaptation to changing requirements.
- Q / A and Follow-Up : Engage staff during training, deploy follow-up assessments, and ensure training effectiveness through feedback, performance tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Create training checklist and clinic scorecards.
Web-Based Training : Develop and deploy web-based training through Learning Management Systems (LMS) and ensure training materials are accessible and up to date.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS :
- Training & Development : Proven experience in designing and delivering training, ideally within healthcare or a clinical office setting.
- Organizational Skills : Strong ability to manage and coordinate multiple training activities and programs across various locations.
- Communication : Excellent interpersonal skills for effective instruction and support, ensuring complex RCM processes are clearly understood by all staff.
- Adaptability : Flexible in adjusting training methods and content to meet the evolving needs of the organization and new technologies.
- Collaboration : Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including Clinic Directors, Revenue Cycle Managers, and administrative staff, to ensure cohesive and comprehensive training programs.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, meet time sensitive deadlines, and organize workload with minimal supervision.
- Effective critical thinking, creativity, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and leadership skills, with experience in public speaking, teaching, adult learning principles, and conflict resolution.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring thorough and accurate training materials.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn and utilize other applications efficiently.
- Positive working relationships with team members and the ability to communicate effectively with contacts at all levels of the organization.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE :
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, Business Administration, Education, or a related field preferred. Equivalent work experience in healthcare revenue cycle management or training will be considered.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in revenue cycle management, with a focus on frontend, middle, and backend processes such as patient access, insurance verification, coding, billing, and collections.
- Proven experience in designing, developing, and delivering training programs in a healthcare setting, preferably within multisite clinics or outpatient services.
- Strong knowledge of EMR / PM systems, billing processes, insurance requirements, and regulatory compliance related to revenue cycle management.
- Experience working with diverse clinic staff, including administrative, clinical, and billing teams, to improve RCM practices and staff performance.
- Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and experience with web-based training development and delivery is preferred.
- Experience with healthcare software systems, Dayforce experience is a plus.
