Responsibilities
Outpatient therapists provide services aimed at restoring and improving a patient's function, mobility, and pain level while preventing or limiting disabilities resulting from the injury or disease.
Outpatient therapy candidates demonstrate thoroughness and competence in examining patients' medical histories, conducting tests to measure mobility and motor function, and prescribing treatments.
Qualifications
- Valid BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Valid professional license as required by the state of practice
- Specialty-related certifications may be required for specific positions
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
