About This Opportunity

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior SEO Strategist to join our dynamic eCommerce, Team. This role is crucial in shaping and executing SEO strategies for our eCommerce platform to improve organic search rankings, drive website traffic, and strengthen overall online presence.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of on-site, off-site, technical, and content SEO, with a proven track record of leading successful SEO initiatives.

As an SEO Strategist, you will work closely with SEO vendors, and the marketing, product, and development departments to ensure SEO is seamlessly integrated into the overall eCommerce strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Strategy Development and Execution :
  • Lead the creation and implementation of comprehensive SEO strategies tailored to our Gift Card eCommerce websites.
  • Conduct thorough keyword research to guide content strategy and uncover growth opportunities.
  • Oversee the optimization of website elements, including meta tags, headers, URL structure, and internal linking, to enhance search engine visibility.
  • Ensure that website architecture supports optimal search engine crawling and indexing.
  • Continuously monitor and improve site speed and mobile responsiveness.
  • On-Site SEO :
  • Develop and refine on-site SEO tactics to improve organic search rankings.
  • Conduct regular on-page audits to identify and rectify issues affecting site performance.
  • Off-Site SEO :
  • Develop and execute robust link-building strategies to acquire high-quality backlinks.
  • Lead outreach efforts to build relationships with industry influencers and high-authority websites.
  • Technical SEO :
  • Perform in-depth technical SEO audits and collaborate with the product team to implement improvements.
  • Ensure websites comply with the latest search engine guidelines and best practices.
  • Content SEO :
  • Guide content creators in developing high-quality, SEO-friendly content aligned with client objectives.
  • Implement content strategies that integrate with broader business goals and SEO objectives.
  • Analytics and Reporting :
  • Utilize SEO tools (Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, etc.) to monitor performance and generate actionable insights.
  • Create regular reports on SEO metrics, traffic, and ranking improvements.
  • Provide strategic recommendations based on data analysis to drive ongoing SEO enhancements.
  • Continuous Improvement :
  • Stay abreast of the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and industry best practices.
  • Continuously test and optimize SEO strategies to maintain a competitive edge.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience as an SEO Strategist or similar role in digital marketing, with a focus on leading strategy and execution.
  • In-depth knowledge of on-site, off-site, technical, and content SEO.
  • Expert Level Proficiency with SEO tools such as Search Console, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, AHrefs, Moz, etc.
  • Proficient with GA4 and Google Tag Manager. Ability to troubleshoot website tracking.
  • Strong understanding of website architecture, HTML, CSS, and content management systems (Magento experience is a plus).
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret website data and provide SEO strategic insights.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to build insightful reporting dashboards, analyze and present Google Data Studio reports.
  • Proven ability to manage and lead SEO projects from conception to completion.
  • Working knowledge with Yext, Moz Local, BrightLocal, Birdeye, or similar tools.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Proven ability to build collaborative, trusting cross-functional relationships.
  • Experience working with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
  • High degree of comfort in fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Ability to function and lead in a team environment.
  • Influential and persuasive - seen as a trusted advisor and SME for SEO strategy.
