Job Description :

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Environmental Engineer to join our team! The successful candidate will support and / or lead engineering assessments and other related activities for a variety of remedial design and construction projects ranging from the initial investigation phases through the final stages of remedial implementation and long-term management, collaborating with different project teams within our Environmental Practice group all across the Northeast.

What You'll Be Doing :

• Completes a variety of assignments such as preparing technical reports, design drawings, technical specifications for procurement and construction, technical presentations, leading meetings, and developing work products for client and regulatory agency reviews.
• Ability to collaborate and cross-sell within Parsons’ other engineering divisions including municipal, transportation, and infrastructure groups.
• Reviews contract submittals and performs technical bid analyses.
• Prepares engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and surveys.
• Provides technical guidance to CAD Designer / Drafters, Designers, and junior-level Engineers working on the same project.
• Works with project managers, project engineers, and discipline leads to develop budgets, schedules, and plans for the various elements of a project.

Ensures that the project meets or exceeds goals established in these plans.

• Provides key business development support to ongoing pursuits, including development of win strategy preparation of proposal packages.
• Technical support to Project teams including community / public outreach and regulatory / permitting / compliance.
• Provide technical support and leadership / mentorship to junior staff.
• May act in an advisory capacity to senior management personnel on engineering related matters.

What Required Skills You'll Bring :

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and minimum 8+ years of related work experience is required.
• Professional Engineer registration strongly preferred, or ability to obtain within 2 years.
• Exceptional written and oral communications skills.
• Thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are also required.
• Strong independent work ethic, flexibility to adapt to rapidly shifting client priorities, and agility / eagerness to lead challenging and unique projects and assignments.
• Fundamental understanding of CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering, and ability to provide guidance and direction to Drafters utilizing this software.

Salary Range :

$83,300.00 - $145,800.00
