Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Research Technician Assistant for our Safety Assessment site located in Reno, Nevada .

As a Research Technician Assistant , you will have the opportunity to care for all species of animals at our state-of-the-art safety sites.

You will learn new skills ranging from animal care and handling of laboratory animals, perform clinical observations, blood collection, drug dosing, and perform accurate data collection and reporting.

The following are minimum requirements related to the Research Technician Assistant position.

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.)
  • 0-6 months related experience in animal research and / or husbandry preferred.
  • Ability to handle common laboratory animal species.
  • Basic knowledge of Good Laboratory Practice regulations preferred.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 USD per hour. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.

About Safety Assessment

Charles River is committed to helping our partners expedite their preclinical drug development with exceptional safety assessment services, state-of-the-art facilities and expert regulatory guidance.

From individual specialty toxicology and IND enabling studies to tailored packages and total laboratory support, our deeply experienced team can design and execute programs that anticipate challenges and avoid roadblocks for a smooth, efficient journey to market.

Each year approximately 300 investigational new drug (IND) programs are conducted in our Safety Assessment facilities.
