POSITION DESCRIPTION :
The Credit Analyst will be responsible for the credit analysis of new and existing commercial and agricultural relationships.
The Credit Analyst will work closely with the loan officers in the preparation of loan presentations and analysis of the financial strengths and weaknesses of commercial and agricultural borrowers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Assists the commercial and agricultural lenders with underwriting and documenting credit requests.
- Performs economic and industry analysis, financial projections and risk assessments.
- Spreads and interprets financial statements, including cash flow analysis and collateral analysis, to minimize risk and maximize credit quality.
- Evaluates complex financial statements to spread and analyze in order to prepare a credit presentation.
- Gathers any necessary follow-up information to prepare a credit presentation.
- Calculates risks associated with granting the credit and asks questions in the credit presentation for the loan officer to answer before submission.
- Prepares and delivers credit presentations along with supporting analysis to the loan officer. Helps the loan officer present the credits to Loan Committee.
- Follows established bank policies and procedures and identifies any policy exceptions.
- Advises and recommends changes to policy and procedures.
- Markets, trains, advises, counsels and communicates credit policy and procedures to other bank personnel.
- Promotes a strong team environment.
- Does thorough proof reading of credit presentations before submission.

Requirements
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with an emphasis in Accounting.
- Credit analyst level 3 Commercial Lending experience of 6+ years.
- Credit analyst level 2 Commercial Lending experience of 3-5 years
- Credit analyst level 1 Commercial Lending experience of 2 years
- Working knowledge of agricultural commodities and markets.
