Job Title : Remote Pharmacy Technician
Job Description
Our team is hiring Pharmacy Technicians with Prior Authorizations experience. Responsibilities include approving or denying authorizations and sending some to Pharmacists for final review.
You will handle all health plans and all types of medications. This role is 100% computer-based with little to no phone work.
Responsibilities
- Process prescription exceptions which may include : resolving claim rejects and member and physician outreach.
- Enter member demographics and prescription information into the data processing system.
- Research and resolve rejected insurance billing issues and / or escalated member issues.
- Escalate questions regarding prescription to a Pharmacist for interpretation or provide direction on processing.
- Assist with inbound and / or outbound patient or physician calls.
Requirements
- Registered pharmacy technician
- Strong computer skills
- Current Pharmacy Registration and Certification as required by state of operation
Work Environment
- This is a professional REMOTE environment. You will work on multiple screens and within multiple systems.
- You must have strong WiFi and your own office space with a closed door. You will be monitored in the system, and long periods of idleness could result in termination.
- The shift is Monday-Friday, 8am-7pm in your time zone, with rotating weekends every 4-6 weeks. You must be able to work holidays and will bid for holiday schedules.
Lunch breaks range from 30 minutes to an hour depending on team / business needs.
Training will be 10-6 : 30 EST, after which you will receive your regular shift. You must have WiFi, a work space, and a smart phone.
Equipment provided includes a computer, monitor, and headset.
