Job Summary
The Events Server / Bartender is responsible for making and serving alcoholic beverages and performing Events Server functions including set-up, service, and cleanup of hotel event activities ensuring overall success and repeat business, while creating memorable experiences by providing friendly, prompt, and attentive service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include :
- Attend to guest needs and requests in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
- Properly follow recipes to make and serve a wide variety of mixed drinks using an extensive range of ingredients.
- Orders, requisitions, and stocks all liquor, beverage and other bar supplies according to company standards.
- Ability to perform Events Server functions as needed, including proper setup / reset of guest sitting areas, attending to guest needs;
serve and make alcoholic beverages, ensuring that proper measurement and recipes are followed.
- Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons, and drunk driving.
- Properly and thoroughly set-up all server areas and complete all opening, closing, and side work duties during shift.
- Check identification to verify legal age (21) requirements for all guests.
- Adhere to all cash handling and credit policies and procedures.
- Abide by all control, regulations, laws, and procedures related to food / alcohol service, safety, and sanitation.
- Must be able to cross-train in other F&B related areas.

Requirements :
Essential Skills, Experience, and Education include :
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or minimum 1 year related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Luxury hotel / fine dining experience is preferred.
- High volume, fast-paced work environment experience preferred.
- Food Handlers card is required.
- Training for Intervention Procedures (TIPS) Certification is a plus.
- Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification is a plus.
- Proficient in English- verbal and written.
- Must have flexible work availability- all shifts, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements include :
- Must be able to occasionally lift and / or move up to 25 pounds.
