About the Position :

As a Logistics Supervisor, you will be at the forefront of logistics operations, ensuring that our processes are both efficient and cost-effective.

You’ll collaborate closely with the Production Manager and lead a team to deliver exceptional results. Your responsibilities will include overseeing day-to-day operations, training team members, and driving continuous improvement in our logistics department.

What You’ll Do :

Leadership and Team Development :

• Lead and Manage : Guide your team by managing their performance and providing constructive feedback.
• Team Training : Mentor and train team members to ensure they are equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel.
• Strategic Hiring : Assist in interviewing candidates and make recommendations for new hires to strengthen the team.
• Department Needs Assessment : Regularly evaluate the department’s needs and recommend strategies to address current and future requirements.

Operational Excellence :

• Project Participation : Actively participate in logistics-related projects and meetings to enhance shipping and receiving processes, optimize warehouse layout, and streamline product flow.
• Inventory Management : Oversee inventory control through cycle counts, turnover analysis, and inventory adjustments to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Maintenance Oversight : Monitor and schedule maintenance for all logistic equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
• Budget and Compliance : Propose budget plans and ensure compliance with financial guidelines.

Quality and Customer Service :

• Quality Management : Ensure all operations align with the company’s Quality Management System.
• Customer Satisfaction : Investigate customer complaints, provide solutions, and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

What We’re Looking For :

• Educational Background : High School Diploma or GED is required. A Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is a plus.
• Experience : 2 - 5 years of experience in shipping / receiving or a similar role.
• Communication Skills : Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with team members and stakeholders.
• Organizational Skills : Ability to organize and prioritize work, with a keen attention to detail.
• Technical Skills : Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience with ERP systems is essential.
• Problem-Solving Ability : Demonstrated ability to analyze situations and solve problems efficiently.
• Leadership Experience : Previous experience in a supervisory role, with the ability to guide and develop team members.
• Budget Management : Experience in making budget recommendations and managing capital equipment and inventory.
