Job Title : Catering Assistant
Job Summary :
We are seeking an experienced Catering Coordinator to join our team. As a Catering Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional hospitality and culinary experiences at events hosted on our campus.
Your responsibilities will include providing outstanding service to residents, guests, and interdepartmental clients, managing all aspects of catering food and beverage service, coordinating the timing of multiple event setups and breakdowns, and ensuring event spaces are well-organized and clean.
Responsibilities :
- Set up event venues per client specifications, arranging furniture, decor, and equipment.
- Serve food and drinks in accordance with portion, presentation, and quality guidelines, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Engage with guests, provide menu information, address inquiries, and accommodate special requests to ensure a positive dining experience.
- Maintain the operation, cleanliness, and storage of equipment before, during, and after events. Report any needs to the Catering Supervisor.
- Maintain event cleanliness by clearing tables, cleaning utensils, and resetting / restocking for subsequent event phases.
- Assist in post-event cleanup, returning the venue to its original state as directed by the event organizer or catering manager.
Qualifications :
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in event setup, service, and bartending, a plus.
- Knowledge of food presentation, portion, quality control, and food safety standards.
- Ability to address guest needs and inquiries effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to learn room booking software.
- Proficient in maintaining event cleanliness and organization.
