Overview
The PropertyManager plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations ofresidential or commercial properties on behalf of property owners.
Responsible for maintaining property value attracting tenants andensuring a positive tenant experience the Property Manager isessential to the success and profitability of real estateinvestments.
Keyresponsibilities
- Manage all aspectsof assigned properties including maintenance rent collection andtenant relations
- Develop and implementstrategies to maximize property occupancy and rentalincome
- Ensure compliance with local state andfederal regulations
- Conduct regular propertyinspections and address maintenance issues in a timelymanner
- Handle lease agreements renewals andterminations
- Oversee budgeting financialreporting and expense control
- Superviseproperty staff and contractors
- Resolve tenantconcerns and issues professionally andefficiently
- Coordinate marketing andadvertising efforts to attract prospectivetenants
- Implement and enforce property policiesand procedures
- Negotiate contracts and serviceagreements with vendors and serviceproviders
- Respond to emergencies and addresssecurity concerns
- Conduct thorough backgroundchecks on potential tenants
- Coordinate withproperty owners on strategic decisionmaking andgoalsetting
- Maintain accurate property recordsand documentation
Requiredqualifications
- Bachelors degree inReal Estate Management Business Administration or relatedfield
- Proven work experience as a PropertyManager or similar role
- Deep understanding ofproperty management regulations and bestpractices
- Strong financial acumen and budgetmanagement skills
- Excellent knowledge ofproperty maintenance and facility managementprocesses
- Proficiency in property managementsoftware and MS Office
- Exceptionalcommunication and interpersonalabilities
- Ability to prioritize and managemultiple tasks efficiently
- Knowledge ofmarketing and leasing techniques
- Strongproblemsolving and decisionmakingskills
- Detailoriented and highlyorganized
- Ability to work independently and aspart of a team
- Familiarity with legal andethical standards for propertymanagement
- Professional certifications such asCertified Property Manager (CPM) or similar are aplus
- Valid real estate license may be requireddepending on localregulations
