Position Purpose & Summary As a growing organization, we are looking for a full-time Billing Specialist to help us in managing our end-to-end revenue and collections cycle with third-party payors and clients.

The Billing Specialist will be an integral part of the clinical support team, proactively managing our relationships with payor partners and ensuring timely and complete post-service collections.

Essential Functions

• Assist supervisor in all billing tasks.
• Complete assigned reporting tasks.
• Prepare bills and invoices for medical services and treatments received.
• Post payments from patients and insurance companies.
• Review and process patient accounts receivable.
• Review and process insurance accounts receivable.
• Contacts and follows up with individuals to reconcile accounts.
• Gathers patient insurance and financial information.
• Monitors debts and unresolved patient accounts by filing claims.
• Collects payments on outstanding accounts.
• Collect financial, demographic and insurance information.
• Follows all work processes, procedures, while maintaining compliance to the rules and regulations set forth by the company.
• Strives to deliver high-quality results at all times in accordance with standards.
• Protects and keeps all patient information confidential.
• Proudly services the company by following all HIPAA standards.
• Accepts ownership for all tasks and responsibilities while improving the company's reputation.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Proficient computer skills, computer software and all other office equipment.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to develop relationships with colleagues.
• Ability to multi-task and work with constantly changing circumstances and priorities.
• Must have a strong work ethic.
• Maintains all patient information confidentiality.
• Maintains the compliance of billing department with business practices and local, state and federal regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

• Must possess a high school diploma.
• Able to work full-time in person, pass a background check.
• Working knowledge of medical billing with minimum 2 years' experience in a healthcare billing position.
