Job Description

Quality Food Safety (QFS) Manager, Archer Daniels Midland Company, Beech Grove, IN.

Provide quality and food safety support and leadership, within company division and throughout the facility. Support various systems used throughout the facility.

Provide internal and external auditing support. Perform annual compliance tasks. Provide production support. Interact with company Quality Center of Excellence and Food Safety personnel to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

Manage prerequisite programs that support the Quality Management System. Assist with IRM score improvements. Participate in employee development, create, and facilitate training, and develop processes.

Implement Cost of Poor Quality. Assist with Intentional Adulteration FSMA implementation, and complete Food Defense Vulnerability Assessment.

Oversee non-conformity investigations and ensure root cause analysis and review are conducted. Manage Quality Control (QC) team and ensure adequacy of provided analytical programs.

40 hrs / week, Mon-Fri, 8 : 30 : 30

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Biochemistry, Bioengineering, Food Science, Chemistry, or a related field, and three (3) years of related work experience, in the position offered or a related position.

Must have three (3) years of experience with / in :

  • food regulations and requirements;
  • Document Management, such as PolicyTech, internal monitoring related to programs for food safety, and databases trending results related to quality and food safety;
  • Monitor the quality and safety of incoming ingredients and manufactured products;
  • Develop and implement Quality and Food Safety requirements for Human Food and Animal Food; and
  • Providing audit support to FDA, BRC, Organic, Gluten Free, or Customer Audits.
