A prestigious property is looking for a Human Resources Manager to lead the Human Resource efforts of an iconic hotel located in metro Albany area.
Human Resources Manager Job Description :
- Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace.
- Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes.
- Assist in the development and implementation of human resource policies.
- Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly and initiating employee engagement activities.
- Monitor and assign brand standards and corporate hotel related training.
- Assist in providing backup to on-boarding for new employees by providing information packets, reviewing company policies and payroll information, explaining benefit programs, and obtaining document signatures.
- Prepare payroll by calculating and entering pay into ADP Workforce Now, maintain payroll records.
- Maintain employee human resources records by recording the hiring, transfer, termination, change in job classifications, and merit increase dates, as well as tracking vacation, sick, and personal time.
- Assist in administering employee benefits programs, medical insurance, and disability programs by advising employees of eligibility, providing application information, helping with form completion, verifying submission, and notifying employees of approvals.
- Ensure compliance with labor regulations.
Human Resources Manager Job Qualifications :
- 4 years proven experience as Human Resource Generalist or higher is required.
- Good knowledge of employment / labor laws
- Excellent communication and people skills Aptitude in problem-solving
- Union Experience is highly preferred
- Required Experience in ADP Workforce Now Outstanding knowledge of MS Office in addition to HRIS Systems
- Experience in Hospitality is a plus.
- Additional HR training (e.g.,SHRM-CP) will be a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related academic field and / or work equivalent is Required.
