Mechanical Assembler
General Overview
Under general supervision, performs a wide variety of repetitive and non-repetitive bench or line mechanical subassembly and assembly operations of a semi-skilled nature to produce products, also making required minor adjustments in the assemblies as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
149; Follows production drawings, sample assemblies and verbal instructions with close supervision. Understands and applies established acceptable workmanship practices to all facets of mechanical assembly.
149; Interprets and works from drawings, work instructions and bills of material to understand the required parts and steps needed to complete the assigned assembly.
149; Works on assembled components, requiring manual dexterity and the ability to work with simple hand tools, soldering equipment.
149; Uses a variety of hand and power tools to perform skilled fitting and assembly work. Inspect parts and performs basic tests.
149; Adjusts or trims materials from components to achieve specified electrical or dimensional characteristics.
149; Follows safety procedures in the use and handling of flammable and hazardous chemicals required to meet all cleanliness specifications.
149; Must be able to follow specific procedures and detailed instructions completely.
149; Ensures that quality checks are completed throughout the manufacturing process.
149; May perform hand soldering using a soldering iron.

Education / Experience
149; High school diploma or equivalent (GED) education preferred.
149; 1 year of experience in mechanical assembly preferred.
149; Experienced in using hand tools and some power tools (power drills, sanders, etc.)
149; Basic level understanding of mechanical hardware (nuts, bolts, screws, etc.) assembly.
149; Basic level knowledge of blueprints, Bill of Materials and mechanical drawings,
149; Ability to read, write, and speak the English language at a level that allows for the comprehension of detailed instructions and the legible completion of paperwork.
149; Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
149; Exhibits mechanical aptitude.
149; Must have basic computer skills
149; Requires ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
149; Understanding of 5S and Lean Manufacturing practices is a plus.
149; Candidate must possess U.S. citizenship or be a "U.S. Person". (A U.S. Person is defined as a person who is a lawful permanent resident

1st shift 5am-1 : 30pm Pay$17.00-$18.00 / hr DOE
2nd shift 1 : 30pm-10pm $19.00-$20.00 / DOE
3rd shift 9 : 45pm-6;15am $21.00-$22.00 / hr DOE
