Job Description :
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic LifeStyle Concierge to join our team. The LifeStyle Concierge will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a variety of social activities, educational wellness programs, and group fitness classes tailored to the needs and interests of our residents.
This individual will create an environment that promotes social interaction, physical activity, and lifelong learning.
Key Responsibilities :
- Program Development and Implementation :
- Plan, develop, and implement a diverse calendar of events and activities that appeal to a wide range of interests, such as arts and crafts, musical performances, games, movie nights, holiday celebrations, and special events.
- Design, coordinate, and implement health and wellness education programs, promoting healthy lifestyles, disease prevention, and overall well-being.
- Organize, schedule, and supervise group fitness classes suitable for the 55+ demographic, such as aqua aerobics, yoga, tai chi, and walking groups.
- Regularly solicit feedback from residents and adapt programs to meet their changing needs and interests.
- Community Engagement :
- Encourage participation and interaction among residents, promoting a strong sense of community.
- Collaborate with residents, their families, and other staff members to ensure that activities and events are inclusive and enjoyable for all.
- Administrative Duties :
- Maintain records of all planned and executed activities, tracking participation and evaluating the effectiveness of different events and classes.
- Prepare and manage the budget for activities, ensuring that all events are within financial guidelines.
- Assist in marketing and promoting events, activities, and wellness programs, using newsletters, community boards, social media, and other communication tools.
- Safety Compliance :
- Ensure all activities and events adhere to local, state, and federal health and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with health professionals when designing wellness education programs and fitness classes to ensure all activities are appropriate and safe for our residents.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- 2+ years of experience in event planning, recreational programming, wellness education, or similar roles, preferably within a senior living community.
- Strong knowledge of fitness and wellness programs suitable for older adults.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with residents, families, and staff.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Preferred Skills & Qualifications :
- Certified in Senior Fitness or related area.
- Previous experience with budget management.
Working Conditions :
The LifeStyle Concierge will need to be available to work Friday evenings, Saturday's, and able to support scheduled activities and events.
Physical Requirements :
This job can be physically demanding. The successful candidate should be able to lift up to 25 pounds, stand for extended periods of time, and assist with the physical set-up and tear-down of events.
