Part-Time Custodian, Apartment Housing

Job Summary

This position will be performing general cleaning duties in the Apartment Housing Area under the instruction of a supervisor.

Departement-Specific Responsibilities

• Cleans, sanitizes, and dusts rooms and restrooms, including walls, partitions, windows, door glass, and trash removal.
• Performs floor care and carpet care including vacuuming and edging, and spot cleaning.
• Cleans lounges, stairwells, offices, and public areas.
• Performs snow removal, furniture moving, and other jobs several times of the year.
• Performs routine light maintenance activities, notifies management of need for repairs.
• Changes / replaces light bulbs as needed.

Working Conditions / Demands

Ability to move a wide variety of items from one place to another on a frequent basis, including furniture, and / or up and down stairs.

Ability to remain stationary and / or move around the work environment for long periods of time in performing job assignments.

Ability to ascend / descend using ladders and stairs to clean surfaces that are on different elevations and uneven surfaces.

Must be able to move objects weighing up to 25 pounds frequently and 25-50 pounds occasionally.

$12.25 per hour

Work Hours

Monday - Friday, 8 : 00 a.m.- 4 : 30 p.m.

24 - 28 hours per week
