Position : Paralegal
Pay Rate : $27.00 / hourly
Location : Stockton, CA
Schedule : Monday - Friday 8 : 00am - 5 : 00pm
Job Description :
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal to join a legal team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and research skills, as well as the ability to work independently and under pressure.
As a Paralegal, you will assist attorneys in all stages of legal proceedings and perform a variety of tasks to support our clients.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases
- Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and subpoenas
- Assist with case management and maintain case files, while also building and filing appropriate documents together
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in legal proceedings
- Organize and review documents for discovery and trial preparation
Qualifications :
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or related field (preferred)
- Previous experience as a Paralegal or in a legal support role
- Knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documents
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in legal research databases
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Has the ability to fill out and turn in court mandated forms
- Knows how to speak to clients and the clerks at court
