POSITION : Healthcare Facilities Director

Vanguard Resources, is actively recruiting for an experienced, Full Time, salaried / exempt Facilities Director, with solid regulatory & compliance experience, to fill an immediate opening, supporting the Maintenance dept, onsite at our Client's facility, within a Healthcare environment ( approximately patient beds)
The Facilities Director will lead the Maintenance Department to properly maintain the building infrastructures and associated equipment related to building operations and patient care, as cost effectively and safely as possible.
The Manager will also maintain code compliance as it relates to all authorities having jurisdiction as it relates to the healthcare industry.
REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE :
- 5-7+ years Supervisory experience - hospital maintenance; experience leading a team is required
- 5-7+ years in general maintenance within a hospital environment required
- 7- years performing facility maintenance work
- A significant part of this role is Joint Commission / regulatory compliance . Experience required
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Certifications such as : HVAC, Electrical or Plumbing is preferred
- Possessing a CHFM certification is also preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of code requirements such as TJC, NEC, NFPA and building codes.
- Education : High School Diploma or equivalent
- Possess a clear / valid Driver’s License
- Pass a background check, drug screen & hospital required health screenings / immunizations
LEADERSHIP :
- Good communication skills oral & written
- Able to manage employees appropriately & ethically, developing them for success
Good organizational skills.
- Able to read & understand blueprints / schematic drawings.
- Able to make sound decisions as it relates to building / equipment maintenance processes and procedures.
- Capable of developing, managing & maintaining operational budgets.
- Works closely with Vanguard Resources leadership & client leadership
- Responsible for efficient effective hiring, training, scheduling, employee relations of entire department
SYSTEM SKILLS :
- Detailed knowledge of HVAC mechanical systems.
- Literacy in the basic operations of computers & associated software.
- Have knowledge of medical gas systems. Knowledge of electrical systems & associated equipment such as emergency generators, transfer switches, disconnects, etc.
Knowledge of steam systems, their components and operation. Knowledge of plumbing systems, their components and operation.
- Knowledge of control systems as they relate to electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and digital.
- Understanding the operation of fire protection systems.
- Have basic knowledge of construction procedures.
- Possess project management skills
TJC SKILLS :
Able to develop, implement and manage the Environment of Care TJC standards, but maintaining TJC expectations of the following : Safety Management Program Security Management Program Hazardous Management Program Emergency Management Program Fire Prevention Management Program Medical Equipment Management Program Utility Management Program Perform annual evaluations of all seven management programs Develop & maintain Plan for Improvements for all seven management programs Maintain the Statement of Conditions to TJC standards Able to identify & address Life Safety issues prior to a TJC visitation
REGULATORY SKILLS : Have knowledge of the following regulatory agencies & programs :

- LOCAL / STATE CODES & STANDARDS
