We are seeking a Senior Managing Director at our downtown Portland, ME Trust company. The Senior Managing Director will be responsible for building and maintaining strong client relationships, driving business development efforts, client retention, and utilizing extensive investment and planning acumen to provide tailored financial solutions while maintaining the highest standards of trust and integrity.
In this position you will :
Develop and maintain strong, lasting relationships with clients, acting as their trusted advisor for all financial matters.
Understand their unique goals, values, and financial needs
- Expand and enhance the book of business through networking, referrals, and relationship building. Identify opportunities for additional fiduciary services and investments
- Utilize your deep knowledge of investment strategies, financial planning, and estate planning to create and implement customized wealth management solutions for clients
- Ensure the retention and satisfaction of existing clients by delivering high-quality service, addressing their concerns, and adapting strategies as necessary
- Collaborate with senior management to set strategic goals for your client portfolio and contribute to the company's overall growth
- Ensure all financial activities and fiduciary services adhere to relevant laws and regulations
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
The successful candidate will have :
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in wealth management, trust, or financial planning
- CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) certification is preferred
- Proven track record of business development and client retention
- Strong knowledge of investment and wealth management strategies
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards and client confidentiality
