PURPOSE OF JOB :

Oversee the daily operations of our medical device production lines, ensuring that products are manufactured efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.

This role involves leading a team of production staff of up to 30 personnel, optimizing processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• People manager duties such as resource planning, hiring, training, performance evaluations and discharges.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and accountability.
• Oversee the daily operations of the production line to ensure timely and efficient manufacturing of medical devices.
• Ensure adherence to production schedules and meet or exceed production targets.
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods.
• Ensure all products are manufactured in compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company quality policies.
• Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to address any quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Apply lean manufacturing principles to streamline production processes, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency.
• Conduct regular process reviews and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Lead kaizen events and other lean initiatives.
• Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and conducting regular safety audits.
• Stay updated with regulatory requirements related to medical device manufacturing and ensure compliance.
• Track and analyze production metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
• Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, including key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Work closely with other departments, including Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain, to ensure smooth production operations.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings and projects to support company goals.
• Enforce safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for all employees. Identify and address any safety hazards or concerns in the assembly area.
• Create and maintain a culture based on Respect, Honesty, and Delivering Results within the organization.
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT :

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE :

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a production supervisory role within the medical device industry.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and proven experience in implementing lean practices.
• Excellent leadership and strong performance management experience.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in using production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to medical device manufacturing (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485) is preferred.

• Customer service oriented and high level of organizational skills and accountability to meet deadlines.
