Position Purpose

Manages the results and Territory Sales Managers of their region, monitoring revenue, goals, and indicators, proposing actions to ensure the delivery of planned results.

Sets deadlines and responsibilities, oversees team sizing, and proposes motivational actions. Develops strategic plans, budgets, and policies.

Analyzes market trends and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of Sales Team Management within the Pet Food Industry
  • Ability to travel at least 75% of the time
  • Live in the West Coast USA and near a major airport
  • College Degree in Sales, Marketing or Business Management or equivalent work experience with demonstrated success.
  • Must be highly organized

Key Responsibilities

  • Be accountable for the revenue of your region, ensuring the achievement of the goals established by the company, while respecting the sales policy specific to each channel.
  • Analyze, diagnose, and identify opportunities within each region to implement, monitor, and measure action plans that increase the company's market share for its products.
  • Develop and monitor performance indicators for distributors (sell-in, sell-out, customer activation, product mix, etc.).
  • Establish actions, monitor goals and performance indicators, communicate and track team performance, in pursuit of the company's objectives.
  • Assign responsibilities to team members, provide guidance, and set deadlines.
  • Support the development of the company's strategic plan by suggesting and providing input, thereby contributing to the achievement of company results.
  • Monitor the company's market share and / or product performance, observe competitor activity and customer movements, in order to adjust strategies as needed.
  • Contribute to the development of new products or services by researching and making suggestions in alignment with market changes.
  • Make pricing and special promotion decisions, aligned with market needs, to ensure results and maintain the company's competitiveness.
  • Analyze and monitor customer satisfaction levels, resolve customer and consumer complaints, implement service improvements, to ensure customer loyalty.
  • Manage sales team by determining team size, recruiting and selecting new employees, to ensure an effective team for goal execution.
  • Manage the work of the team by delegating tasks, monitoring results, and evaluating performance.
  • Develop incentive plans aligned with established objectives to ensure team motivation and results.
  • Identify training and development needs, monitor individual and team development to prepare successors and ensure effective task execution.
  • Manage material and financial resources by monitoring their use and control, avoiding waste and unnecessary expenses.
  • Create customer loyalty programs and initiatives aligned with company objectives to contribute to goal achievement
  • Identify key clients, monitor their engagement with the company, in order to maintain a business relationship aligned with objectives.
  • Help to develop the Sales Department's Strategic Plan, aligned with the company's strategic plan, to achieve expected results.
  • Prepare budgets, defining necessary investments and expenses, to maintain financial control of the company.
  • Establish the sales policy and procedures, identifying opportunities and needs within the sales department, ensuring effectiveness in service delivery and results.
  • Analyze trends and economic-financial factors, conduct market and competition research, to maintain the company's competitiveness.
