Job Responsibilities
- Support community members and clients in their search for employment opportunities
- Facilitate workshops and programs related to employment, including but not limited to interview skills training, soft skills training, financial literacy, and resume building and creation
- Develop media related to financial literacy, utilizing the Money Mindset curriculum
- Document client interactions and outreach efforts in Microsoft Suite and Salesforce database
- Assist employment services staff in outreach to potential employers in Middle Tennessee
- Collaborate with both Adult Education and Employment teams to promote educational advancement and economic mobility
- Provide one-on-one support for digital literacy, including internet navigation, email creation and communication, and general computer skills
- Participate in AmeriCorps professional development and community-building workshops
Qualifications
Required
- Over 18 years of age
- High School diploma or GED
- Legally eligible to work in the U.S. (you can see the requirements here)
- Pass a background check to work with vulnerable populations
Preferred :
- Computer literacy in Microsoft and Google Suites
- Experience working with people from diverse backgrounds
- Experience providing support to families or individuals living in poverty
- Comfortable speaking in front of groups of people
- Experience in community outreach and partner relationships
Physical Demands & Accessibility
- Knowledge in interpreting audio / visual information, for example : communicating via telephone, utilizing Microsoft Suite, etc.
- Ability to read and interpret written and digital materials (ADA applicable)
