As a Financial Services Associate Director, you will be responsible for leading various aspects of business development for the Financial Services industry vertical within our Consulting practice in our New York office.

You will play a key role in future business generation by identifying new business opportunities through networking within industry.

With your help, we will continue to grow as a firm. This involves helping to define the target market in coordination with firm goals and strategy and working closely with local office partners to align pursuit efforts to target account lists and office priorities / initiatives.

You will :

  • Identify, qualify and pursue new sales opportunities at prospects and select existing client accounts.
  • Organize and execute a multifaceted sales plan to effectively make direct contact with prospects.
  • Build effective and collaborative relationships with the key decision-makers within the prospect organizations.
  • Work with national marketing resources to develop effective, targeted go-to-market plans for consulting services in New York.
  • Develop account strategy and plan that best demonstrates Crowe’s resources to meet the prospect’s business needs and issues.
  • Participate in trade organizations and informal networks to develop, build and sustain a robust set of professional relationship.
  • In partnership with marketing, execute events and other outreach campaigns in order to identify and engage targets, and build the Crowe brand in the marketplace.
  • Understand the short- and long-term needs and challenges of prospective accounts and how Crowe's services can address those issues.

Participate with a team of partners, senior managers and marketing professionals in the pursuit process that moves prospects through all stages of the sales process.

  • Provide input to pricing strategy to make Crowe competitive.
  • Participate in Alumni reach out and social media programs, consistent with Crowe firm-wide initiatives.
  • Provide input in the annual budget process for consulting and industry verticals.
  • Mentor Managers on business development skills and work on initiatives.

Qualifications :

  • Based in New York metropolitan area.
  • Bachelor's degree : MBA is a plus.
  • 15+ years of experience with proven success in selling professional services (not selling a product) to banks with asset sizes greater than $100 billion.

Big 4 or national firm experience preferred.

  • Exceptional experience leading complex sales processes that involve multiple team members and decision makers (primarily C-suite decision makers).
  • Demonstrated network of COI's (Centers of Influence) to include banking, legal and other professional services relationships that could be used to find opportunities.

Relationships typically include Chief Risk Officer, Chief Audit Executive, Chief Information Officer, Chief Compliance Officer, BSA Officer etc.

  • Strong communication, presentation, analytical and organization skills.
  • Positive minded, solutions-oriented approach and outlook is critical.
  • Demonstrated community involvement and activity with industry associations, civic and / or non-profit groups is helpful.
  • Experience selling risk and compliance services to banks.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets;

experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.

At Crowe, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

A reasonable estimate of the current range is $122,264.00 to $259,483.00 per year.
